Grading the Digital School

Interesting article in the New York Times about how East Mooresville Intermediate School has been sucessfully using technology to improve children's education.  As the District Superintendent put it "This is not about the technology..It's not about the box. It's about changing the culture of instruction — preparing students for their future, not our past."

The district's graduation rate is up to 91 percent in 2011, from 80 percent in 2008. And state tests in reading, math and science show an average of 88 percent of students across grades met proficiency standards, compared with 73 percent three years ago.
